Is this is the only proper spelling of this name? I seem to think there should be an H stuck in there somewhere even though it looks funny as Abrahm. So far this is a top contender for a boy's name. What do you think?We also are considering (but not loving) Ezra and Monroe (even though DH says MON-roe and I prefer it to sound like MUN-roe.)Other names I like but DH has nixed are Thatcher, Walker, and Thayer (is this a real name??)We are having a terrible time with boys names. Any suggestions based on these? Middle name will be either Tyler or Norton (both family names). And our last name is one syllable and rhymes with Mouse. :)Thanks!

You can spell it Abram or go with Avram or Bram, but don't add an H ? that makes it too confusing as to whether it is Abram or Abraham.

I would not use a surname like Monroe, Thatcher, Walker, or Thayer unless it is a surname in your family (esp now that Mariah Carey's daughter is Monroe).

A girl I know just named her son Abram. It's NMS but it's cute.

I really like Abram. It's a nice, not often seen biblical name.

I really like Abram. It was one of my top choices before we knew we were having a girl. And I like it much more than your other choices.

I didn't even realize that most of our choices are surnames. That's funny. To be fair, over half of the names I suggest my DH shoots down because he knows people with the name. Those are the only ones that slip trough the cracks I guess.Names like George, Henry, Peter, Jonathan, and Oliver don't stand a fighting chance with him. Sigh. At least he likes my girl name choices lately.

I absolutely love Abram (though I've always said "abe-rum"), it was in our top 3 until we decided he'd always get called Abe. And I just don't love Abe.

Mariah Carey just named her daughter Monroe, which might cause a string of girls to follow suit. Just FYI, if you're considering it for a boy.

Abram is kind of cute.

It is NMS, but I like it by itself.

I love love love both Abram and Abraham. I can see why you'd picture an H there, but nope, no H. Of the other names you listed, I only semi-like Ezra.
