OMG, mierasm1!  I feel the same way!  I am constantly worried that I have done something to mess it up.  All of my friends tell me these things are normal, but I'm still a nervous wreck!

I just found out this weekend that I'm pregnant.  I took a PT on Sunday since I was late, but I had just taken a PT on Thursday that said negative, so I was just trying to "reconfirm".  When it came up positive I just stood there and stared for what felt like a long time. 

 This will be my first and my hubby and I are very excited and a whole lot of nervous!

I am 4 weeks pregnant & will turn 39 in January.  It is nice to know there are other moms my age out there!~  Have you set up your sonogram appt yet?  I go this Wed just for bloodwork & then we will schedule it.

This is my second baby, too!  My son just turned one on October 2nd.  I will be 39 in January.  We are THRILLED!!!!!  Do you know your due date yet?

I just found out I was pregnancy on Tuesday. I'm just barely at 4 weeks and im so excited but also nervous because I found out so early. I'm on progesterone 2xs a day as well. anyone else had to take progesterone with a previous pregnancy? If so, did everything turn out well? I'm super paranoid right now! I'm having some bloating, cramping, stomach issues and nausea.

Heres to a healthy and happy pregnancy to all of us!

I am also 37 and just found out I'm pregnant. This is my third. My oldest is 11 and my youngest is 8. I also married this year in April. This will be my husband's second child. His daughter is 13. I am very nervous, since it has been a while since my last pregnancy. I am worried how my body will handle this pregnancy now that I am older. Good luck to you!

Hi! I just found out that I'm a little over 4 weeks. I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks with my 1st pregnancy, so I am super excited but also very anxious. I just want to get over that 12 week hump so I can let out a sigh of relief!!!! 

I will be seeing my entire family at Thanksgiving and will be 8 weeks then. Doctor suggests waiting until 12 wks to tell everyone. Problem is that I live in AZ and family is in NJ so this will be our one opportunity to tell everyone in person. Would love to hear your thoughts on this...

DH & I just found out this morning.  We are so excited!  After 2.5 years of TTC that included surgeries and fertility drugs, we are finally there!  This will be our first child.  I also have the joy of being pregnant with two of my closest friends!  Many blessings to all and congrats!

Hi Everyone!!

Just found out Friday we were expecting! I was shocked because I had taken two early response tests on Friday and Saturday and both said negative.  I stopped thinking about it until I missed my period on Weds. and took a test on Friday thinking it would just reconfirm the negative, but it didn't!  I had a Dr. appt on 10/27 and cancelled it because I figured the two negative pregnancy tests meant I would have my period for the appointment so now I have to wait until 11/22! I'm trying to get them to push it up since I had the two negative tests. I know they say you never usually get false positives, but I just need to hear the Dr. say it's definite. This is my first pregnancy and I totally blabbed about it to everyone in our families and few select friends. Now I'm wishing I didn't tell any friends in case something happens. I'm so worried about miscarrying! So excited for our July 4 baby! Congrats to everyone here!

I'm one of those lucky ones!  My husband and I succeeded in getting pregnant on our 1st try!  I found out this past weekend (although, I think we really found out last Tuesday!).  Tuesday I took an EPT - DH and I thought there was nothing to reading a plus or minus, didn't even bother looking at/reading the instruction booklet...boy were we wrong!  Not knowing we were looking in the CONTROL box -- we read it as a negative...it was so clear, and vibrant!  A few days later, still no AF -- I read the instructions, and found out we read the test wrong.  We went back to the now expired test, and it did show positive, but we couldn't trust the old test.  Sunday morning I took the 2nd EPT of the box...we thought we saw the plus...but it was so faint, were we just seeing things and being hopeful???  Finally went to the store, bought the DIGITAL Clearblue Easy test...and this time there was NO question...it very clearly said "PREGNANT"! :-)  I am so excited!

Hi Mrs. C!  I'm in a similar boat.  I took a test on Thursday and it came out positive, but then got 2 unclear responses after that.  I called for a doctor's appointment and was super excited when they scheduled me for Monday (yesterday).  When I got there, the nurse got 2 negatives before they could get a positive test - I guess I was much earlier along then they thought!  So now I'm going back in two weeks.  The moral of the story - I wish I had waited, because going so early was kind of disappointing.  They couldn't talk to me about anything because the baby wasn't even visible on the internal ultrasound.  Of couse, I asked over and over, but I am really pregnant, right?!  And they said, YES - a positive is a positive.  So I hope that's reassuring to you.    Congratulations, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you better!

On the bright side, the sooner you tell the fam, the more prayers they have the opportunity to raise on your behalf.  If you want to tell them at Thanksgiving, go for it!

I agree.  Thanksgiving is such a perfect time to tell your family, too!

Update....I'm so worried I am having a MC...Started to have some pretty bright, but dark red, thick bleeding last night.  I've been having mild cramping throughout, but now its more of mild to moderate.  I'm hoping the doctor can get me in tomorrow for a blood test, or can in some way shape or form reassure me I'm not!  I knew this could happen...but its something you don't want to think can happen to you!  If anyone is on baby number 2 or more, I'd love for some feedback.

Kathy - can you go to the ER?  My doctor said to go in if I had anything more than spotting.  I'm sure everything is ok - hang in there!

I've changed message boards...Won't have my confirmation until Monday...but its one of those things...I just know.  Not trying to be a Debbie Downer in this very happy time of people's lives boards...just thought I wouldn't leave anyone hanging.  Hope to be back on these boards very soon...the other board is no fun.

so since i went off bc in june my periods come every 38-ish days, well i havent had it yet and i didnt know it at the time but me and my bf had unprotected sex while i was ovulating. now im constantly peeing and very bloated which is weird cause i never have really been this bloated before. i also think i have gained some weight and if i am pregnant (taking a test next week) i should be about 4 weeks and 4 days, is it normal to gain weight in the first few weeks?

My husband & I found out I was pregnant over the weekend and we are thrilled!! This will be our 2nd child. We have a 19 month old son and he is the most awesome toddler I know!!! Good Luck with everyone's pregnancy!!

Congrats on expecting! I just found out 11/18 that I am pregnant also and I can tell you that my nervous about a miscarriage are very strong as well. People have told me that I need to calm down and not worry but I find that rather hard because I am so excited about this and if something went wrong I would be crushed. Let me know if you find something that helps get rid of those nerves.

4 weeks here and I have been cramping myself. It has me so concerned! My HCG at 11 dpo was 32 which I guess is normal. I wont know my second levels until Monday after thanksgiving! How has everything been going for you??

Taking a test will only bring your mind some answers. Why not take it?

Hi! i just found out on thursday, this will be my second baby. my dd is 15 months. i am also super nervous. i have some bloating and some mild cramps but i literally havent slept in three days because im so nervous!!! not going to the doc until january 17th.

Take the pregnancy test what could it hurt... especially if you feel you had went through the same time line and events before.

I found out i was pregnant the same day as you did Alexandra! I am also 4w5d! This is also my husband and my first baby, we are so excited! I actually already told my parents, because i feel like prayers and support are especially helpful in the first trimester when so much could happen.  My sister had a miscarriage a year and half ago so they are trying not to get too excited, but this is their first grandchild so they are thrilled as well! We plan on telling his parents this weekend, and my siblings, but are waiting to tell everyone else. We probably wouldnt have told my brother and sister yet, but my brother and his wife are doing in vetro next month so i couldnt stand the thought of telling them if they dont get pregnant.  Good luck with your pregnancy, im sure we will talk some on here since we will be at the same point the whole way. Do you have an symptoms yet?
