Oh man I totally forgot about this lol We will prob do what we did last year and let the kids pick their costumes out. I use to pick a theme and stuff but then they would be sad that they saw something they wanted to be and couldn't do it. Last year Halee was a lady bug and danica was fofa
I am multi-tasking and planning Halloween, Jack's Birthday and Christmas all at the same time. I have way too much on my plate in the next few months.
No idea about what the kids will be this year. I am guessing Jack will want something Star Wars since that is his obsession this year. Emelia doesn't know yet.
Last year Emelia was Cinderella and Jack was Mario from the video game.
What are you going to be? Myself, I may wear a witch's hat but that's the extent of the costume
What is your kid going to be? R wants to be Mario from Super Mario Bros., C wants to be Toad from SMB...R did want to be a 3 pea shooter from Plants v. Zombies but I told him he got the short end of the stick when it came to crafty moms so he needed to rethink his costume idea!
What were you guys last year? R was Bumblebee the Transformer, C was Buzz Lightyear
My standard Halloween costume is a white sheet with eye holes cut out. I carry a small typewriter. I'm a ghostwriter. (Which is what I am in real life too.) I am too lazy to come up with a more elaborate costume.
DS was Batman last year. He wants to be a Power Ranger this year. Or Superman.
James (almost 4) is Halloween obsessed right now. He is going back and forth between wanting to be Buzz and having Mac (almost 1) be Mr. Potato Head or having James be Batman and Mac be Roin. We will see...
Last year, James was a John Deere tractor and newborn Mac was a cow.
The year before that James was old school Hulk Hogan. Best costume ever.
There is a Halloween parade, so MH and I will probably just half-ass dress up to go with whatever the boys are.
DD wants to be Rapunzel and I don't know about the boys yet.
For a picture a few Halloween events, we did a Wizard of Oz them; however for daycare/school parties and Halloween night: DD was Dorothy, DS1 was batman and DS2 was a lion.
ML wants to be a black cat, so I told her I would be a witch. I'm actually always a witch; I just wear a black dress, with orange/black striped tights and hat. The hat died last year, so I might have to get a real costume this year. We'll see.
TB wants to be batman, so I'll have to convince H to at least wear the superman shirt I just ordered for him. Or maybe I could get him to be the joker.
ETA: Ha, I, um, forgot about AM. She might wear the same hand me down pumpkin costume ML and TB wore but it's really warm. I might just get her a onesie costume.
DD: Aerial. I'm making her costume. last year she was Vanessa (the human form of Ursula). Yes, we had to explain it to everyone because she just looked like a bride in drag.
DS: No idea, probably a cow or lion (already have those)
I'm not sure if dh and I will dress up. The kids would love it if we did, so we probably should.
I really, really want to do coordinating costumes just once for the kids (I couldn't convince R last year). I am thinking Gnomeo and Juliet (aka garden gnomes) would be so cute, and R is all for it considering she loves the idea of being Juliet. I just have to figure out how I'm going to make them.
I really don't know about this year. I got a pirate costume on sale in the spring really cheap I was just going to add to our costume dress up collection, but now that DS is into Jake and the Neverland Pirates, they might all 3 do something with that. Us too I guess. We go to this party where it is "Mandatory" that the adults dress up.
Last year DD was a ladybug and DS was a firefighter for one party and a dragon for ToTing.
The baby was a ladybug, too.
2 years ago the 3 kids and I were the 3 pigs and DH was the big bad wolf.
DH & I always go to a huge Halloween party each year. This year we are doing Thing 1 and Thing 2. We're trying to talk DS into being the Cat in the Hat, but we'll see how that pans out.
Last year, I was a nurse, DH was.... um, I can't remember! DS was Ironman, just like every other 4 yo boy.
DH and I went to a Halloween pj party last year, but don't typically dress up.
This year, DD will be TinkerBell or Rapunzel. My mom is making both for our Disney trip, so DD will be able to decide which one she wants to wear on Halloween. DS is going to be a grease monkey/mechanic.
Last year, DD was Tiana and DS was a monkey (DD's old costume).
DH & I usually don't dress up. I guess the year before last, I did put a cape and a witch hat on and he was a pumpkin, but usually nothing.
Last year, DD#1 was Minnie Mouse. DD#2 was Raggedy Ann.
This year, DD#1 will be a unicorn and I am going back and forth for DD#2...either Pebbles Flinstone (which I think would be cute since DD has red hair) or a pumpkin (which we already have).
Mom to DD#1 December '06, DD#2 Feb '09 and DS March '12
What is your kid going to be? not sure yet, but her cousin will be born a couple of weeks before halloween and she said she would like to be princess and have the baby dress up in a pea costume
What are you going to be?Not sure if we are dressing up this year. What is your kid going to be?Logan has said he wants to be a pirate, although he was a pirate a few years ago. Miles is obviously too small to pick, so I'll let Logan pick and then most likely pick something to match. What were you guys last year?DH and I didn't dress up last year, but L and M were Obi Wan and Darth Vader. It was awesome!

We just started talking about this today. DS1 wants to be Yoda, DS2 wants to be Darth Vader (score, since we already own the costume in our dress-up supplies,) and DD has no idea yet.
Last year, I had a Taylor Swift, a Gene Simmons / KISS Demon, and a werewolf who decided he was scared of his costume at the last minute and trick or treated as Batman. I wore a witch outfit. The KISS costume got us so many awesome compliments and laughs - my 2 year old totally played it up and loved it. I feel like we'll never be able to top that.
Re: Hold up, lets cover Halloween before we hit Christmas.
DS - knight
DD1 - princess
DD2 - horse
Last year, DS and DD1 were Mickey and Minnie Mouse

Christmas 2011
I will be nothing.
This year Grace wants to be in her words, "a strawberry robot", so I guess I'm going to Hobby Lobby.
I was nothing last year, Grace was a witch.
What are you going to be?
nothing (or maybe I'll put on my annual butterfly wings)
What is your kid going to be?
DS1: A Venus Fly Trap - if I can figure out how to make this costume
DS2: A fly
What were you guys last year?
DS1 was superman:
