Question about formula feeding...

My twins are almost six weeks old and taking 90ml (3oz) every 3 hrs, how about you? When I asked my pediatrician about night feedings,etc, she recommended frequency/amt ratio as 1oz:1hr (for example 3 oz every 3hrs). We are doing ok with sleeping at almost 3hr intervals, but would LOVE even 4 hr intervals! It just feels like we are constantly feeding. I'm sure we are not alone with how we feel about this.

Mine still often eat more than every three hours. Some babies stretch it out longer, some don't. But they will probably get faster at eating so that a feeding takes 15 or 20 minutes is all. And they will drop night feedings at some point too, which is such a nice change. But yes- it will continue to feel like they eat all day long, until they are toddlers - then they will suddenly be too busy to eat at all!

After all the book reading and planning to schedule... After 4 months I fed on demand and eating every 2.5-3 hours. Just now at 8 months, they are stretching themselves out to 3.5-4. GL!!!

We are almost 8 months and only were able to switch to 4 hrs between feedings because we have two solid meals.  Without those meals, they were hungry every three hours.

My girls are almost 6 months old. They eat 3.5-4oz every 2.5-3 hours during the day (6 bottles) and sleep 8:30-pm-6:30am straight. The cycle of changing diapers, tandem feeding, then burping takes about 30 minutes.

I didn't see 4 hours until 7/8 months when we were established on solids.

At 6 weeks, I was thrilled to get 3 hours - my boys were snackers!

We still do every 3 hours as well and will continue to do until we introduce some solids. At 6 weeks if I recall correctly my girls were eating about 4oz every 3 hrs.
