Double letter initials?

What are your thoughts on initials being the same letter? Example- A.A, L.L, D.D etc.

Just wondering because I really love the name Adrian but last name starts with an A as well. TIA:)

  • It sometimes happens. I wouldn't do that intentionally, nor would I feel the need to avoid it.

  • It depends on the names. Sometimes I think it's fine.
  • I grew up with triple letters and kind of loved it.  Always got compliments on it too!
  • I don't think it's a big deal at all, as long as the two names aren't matchy or ryhming I suppose. My maiden name has the first same letter as my fn, and same with hubby... no biggie

  • Eh, I don't think it's a big deal at all. My DD's initials are AA (no middle name): her full name is Alexandra and our last name starts with A. We call her Sasha though. The thing is DH and I both love the name (have since before we were married even), so we really wanted to use it and it didn't bother us that much. I say if you love the name and it sounds good with your last night, go for it!
  • It entirely depends on the names.

This.  I don't think it really matters.

  • Theres nothing wrong with it. As long as the names go well together go for it.

This is what I was thinking about. Thank you! I really love the way Adrian Alexander sounds, but with a last name that starts with an A as well I was kind of worried of how it looked and what someone thought about it.
