Beta question for a friend (high beta)

I posted the other day...  but I have a friend with a BFP who has had 3 losses this year...  she just got another BFP and here are her betas:

12dpo 62
14 dpo 202
16 dpo 632
18 dpo 2665

She wasnt on any fert meds just steriods for incompetent uterus or something like that...    What do you think?  I know they say they arent an indicator for multiples...  but they are higher than mine with triplets!  I feel like that day 18 is really high...  is that ok?  I know there is something about having too high of beta but I am not really sure if/when that is the case.  Any thoughts?

Mine was about 2,200 at 18 DPO and kept rising. I had REALLY high betas the entire time I was checked, all the way through 9 weeks where I was at 152,000. It finally plateued and dropped around 11 weeks. I am pregnant with one single baby and had no fertility treatments at the time I got KU. I think some people just have high numbers. Don't read too much into it.

Those don't sound like high betas to me at all.  I think the concern is when your betas are in the high 1000s at 14dpo.  There's quite a broad range of normal, and it looks like your friend is well within that range.  Another cool website for beta info is www.betabase.info

Hey lady, my betas are in my siggy.  The 18DPO does seem a little high, but not out of ballpark.

Point of interest....Dr. Sherbahn was my RE.  I like to refer to him at the Wizard of Oz.

I didn't know you went to AF Glow, me too!  Love those guys!

I also wouldn't worry about high betas alone, they vary widely by person and pregnancy, and are not a definitive indication of anything other than that she is pg.

Yep!  The one in Gurnee.  It seemed to eventually work out ok for me :-)

Which office did you go to?

Gurnee too.  Dr. D did my last surgery and Dr. S did my cycles...  He seemed kinda bummed that we were having twins this time and wouldn't be back again, but I said love you guys, but after a year of driving up there all.the.time I could deal. ;)

That's so funny!  What a small world. I bet we were at the office at the same time at some point or another. I never had any interactions with Dr. D.  I kept asking Dr. S "aren't you sick of me yet?"  Dr. S is pretty anti-multiples.  He was SUPER nice to me during my bleeding scare before I was released from their care.  Nicest I've ever seen him.

Kathy and Amnity were my fav. nurses.  Oh, I really like Irene too.  Summer made me BSC.  She told me so many wrong things.

I don't think her initial beta isn't all that terribly high for 12 dpo.  Not sure about the 18dpo.  I only had 2 betas drawn this pg on 8dp5dt and 10dp5dt.  But everyone's betas are different.  Plenty of women have lower betas and are pg with twins and others have high betas and are pg with a singleton.  For me on 8dp5dt with this pg, my beta was 119.  And I did have a vanishing twin.

    my beta's

    13dpiui - 199

    15dpiui - 527

    22dpiui - 8,415

I thought mine were on the high side and thought i could be pg. w/ twins since i did have at least 2 follies but nope, pg. w/ a singleton.
