Nipple biopsy?

I am facing a nipple biopsy (punch biopsy) on Thursday because I have a fissure that won't heal and the surgeon is concerned it's a bigger issue.
Has anyone had a nipple biopsy while nursing? Did it affect your ability to BF?
I was hoping to at least make it a year with BF and I hate to see it come to an end early because of this biopsy. Please share any experiences if you have them!
