DH and I go to a local Bar and Grill, and the hostess asks me if I "still fit into a booth?"

I think I gave her one of these . Obviously I wasn't prepared w/a smarta$$ comment of my own, but my boss said I should have said "Yes, and apparently your foot still fits in your mouth" lol!

I love that! I was at  Urban Flats over the weekend and the girl asked if I could fit into a booth...then she look embarrassed and said "I mean I know it's hard to get into a booth when you are pregnant and have feet jabbing you in the ribs"  I took the booth to prove a point...and was uncomfortable with little feet jabbing me in the ribs! lol

I tried a booth Sunday night...ended up moving to a table, much too uncomfortable!  But we went to a different place last night and it was much roomier and I had plenty of room in the booth. 

But yes, that waitress should have just said "do you prefer a table and booth" instead of being an idiot.

Maybe she could have said it a bit different, but some booths are pretty tight for me

I must be dense as a doornail because it just occurred to me that hostesses have been asking me this for the last month (in a nicer way). Usually it's "Will a booth work for you? Or would you rather have a table?". Awesome.

I love your boss.  Can you have him/her write up a list of come backs so we can all just use them when we get these comments?  It'd be nice to be like "hang on a second" and the pull out the list and use one.

I wish they would ask instead of just leading us to a booth and then having people look at me while I try (and this weekend it was unsuccessful) to squeeze in.
