Carseat Return

We registered for a convertible car seat and ended up getting it, but I think DH must have scanned the wrong one.  We have never touched the box or opened it, do you think we can return it to BRU without a receipt to get the correct one?  And our shower was in December of 2010...

Also, we registered and got the Evenflo Titan, but I really wanted the Evenflo Triumph.  Is there something better out there now that I should look into?  I used the BB book for most of my items, and I'm sure there is a newer version out now.

BRU should take it back no problem. 

I have the Evenflo Triumph and love it, it is still rated very high.  We have the Titan Sport in DH's car and he likes it, but we don't use it that often.

You might have a problem, when I went to return something at BRU they told me that your registery expires after a set amount of days and they can only give me what the item was selling for as a gift card, it ended up being on sale. I would call and talk to a manger before you take it up there.  I had almost the same situation but mine was at BBB and I had no problem exchanging it and mine was even opened.

I agree that you should call first.  I think different BRU stores handle it differently.  I heard from friends that they had trouble with this (I think at the Taylor store), but I had no problem at the store in Northville.

I had a problem returning ours without a receipt but after a lot of haggling, they let me do it but I had to get a store gift card for it (not a big deal really).  But, at first they weren't going to let me return it at all.  It's much easier to return things there with a receipt... and even that can be a headache sometimes.
