Pregnancy Rollercoaster

My husband I found out we were pregnant at the beginning of June, and couldn't have been happier. The road since has been a bit more trying - I started spotting at what should have been the 7w1d mark, so I went in for an u/s and found out that we were actually only 5w4d along. Had HCG test that day, and it was 2132. I went back for a follow-up u/s exactly a week later, and we were delighted to see a heartbeat of 104 but the u/s tech advised that we were only measuring 6w1d. Had HCG tested again that day, and this time was only at 3148. Three days later, I started spotting again, and by two days later, the bleeding was heavy. My dr. advised us to head to the ER, and we went expecting the worst. After a very anxious wait, they were able to do another u/s and were miraculously able to still find a heartbeat, ~100 bpm. They did another HCG test while we were there, which was only 3398. Had another HCG test two days later, and it had gone down slightly to 3309. None of my drs. have any answers or any explanations, and at this point have stated that they want to give my body time to "declare itself" - so no u/s or HCG tests for two full weeks. To add to all our confusion, the bleeding has now stopped. So, the clock watching begins - has anyone had any similar experiences that they could share? No one I know has gone through anything quite this up and down - needless to say, I am a nervous wreck as we wait to find out whether our baby is going to make it or not. I know the outlook doesn't look good, but we will keep praying for strength to get us through this scary time and that maybe God will bring us a miracle.
