how was your trip to Ireland?  Welcome back.  How was the weather?  My parents are there now, they just arrived yesterday I think.

Thanks for asking!  It was great!  DH's parents have a farm, so Eoin got to run around and play with the chickens and dogs, and look at the cows - he could go anywhere and we didn't have to worry about him running into the road   It's so nice to have in-laws around, and cousins for the kids to play with - we only have my family here and my brother and sister are definitely not looking to settle down yet!  We went to a play, and movies...all things that we don't get to do a lot of here.  DH's family had a reunion the night before we left, so I got to meet a bunch of his cousins (he has 65 first cousins!).  When we left, it was 100 degrees here, so I packed a whole bunch of short sleeved stuff, but I forgot how cold it is, and we ended up wearing long sleeves the whole time!  It didn't rain a lot until the last few days.  The only downside to the trip is that the week before we left my dad had some weird viral eye infection, and Eoin came down with it two days into the trip (it lasts at least a week), and then coming home Aoife got it, and then DH woke up with it this morning.  I'll try and upload some pictures and post them below!

It sounds like it was an amazing trip for Eoin!  I remember spending all day playing with my cousins, and with the long evenings they have the days seemed to last forever!  But I only have 50 first cousins!! 

That is awesome he got to be there for the reunion.  I will bet Eoin will be wanting to go every summer and it won't be long before Aoife will be asking too! 

Did you end up using the biosoakers?  Hope they worked out for you!  Are you on the FB group?  A lot of the action has moved over there in case you missed that while you were away.  

 That stinks about the eye infection going around, hope you are not next!  Yeah, long sleeves in the summer seems about right - I love how they call sweatshirts jumpers!  But its great the rain stayed away for the most part.

I hope your parents are having a great trip, and that you get to go again soon!  Are they traveling all over or staying in one place?  I still think 50 cousins is a lot!  How do you remember all of their names?  Did you get to go there a lot as a kid?  Eoin seems sad to be home, since he doesn't have as much space to run around and there aren't as many kids. 

We did use the biosoakers...they were ok, but they smelled kind of funky when they had poop in them, and they left a sticky residue.  We went over with 6 shells and 2-50 packs of biosoakers.  I only used them for Aoife, and we did sposies at night, but I think we have 40 left over...I might see if people here want them b/c I don't think I'd go that route again.  Next time I'll either bring all cloth or just do sposies - the in-between was kind of strange.
