Troy Area Daycares

Hi All! I'm an expectant mother who will be needing daycare when I go back to work. Since this is our first little one, my DH and I have notta clue about daycares in the area! If you have some recommendations, we would love to hear them. Thanks so much!

Mine goes there too!  I love it there!

i suggest checking out a few daycares one day.  Don't let them know you're coming..just show up.  I went to Grace Christian and Harmony (on wattles) and 2 in Clawson.  It was an exhausting day, but I'm glad I did it that way.

We use School Bell Childcare and love them.  Smaller center & great pricing.  They are located at the corner of John R & South Blvd.

We checked out Grace Christian, Zion Christian, and Giggle Gang.  We went with Giggle Gang and weren't really happy with the director.  She was kind of laissez faire about some things that happened with DS.  I felt like we were a number in her enrollment figures.  I did like the teachers, though.

If I were to take DS to another center daycare, I would be checking out Grace Christian and the Zion church again.  The reason we didn't go with Grace Christian is because we had a very picky sleeper and the babies sleep on the perimeter of the room with all the lights and activities going on around them.  My DS would not have been able to handle it, but other babies are not quite so picky about their sleeping environments.  As for the Zion church, the location wasn't really the best for us, but they have a very nice program.  I have also heard good things about St. Mark Coptic, but they didn't have any openings when we tried.
