So on Friday the nurse called with the results of the bloodtest. (Of course I already knew what they were.) She said the next step would be injectibles which is what I thought as well. She was going to talk to the RE about scheduling the consult and training session. Today she called to tall me that is not what he wants to do next and he wants us to come in to discuss other options before going to injectible. I have no idea what else could be done.
Any thought?

Re: Change in plan.... already
Just want to prepare you so you're not caught off guard like we were at our last meeting with our RE -- he may be wanting to discuss whether it makes more sense for you to go straight to IVF and skip over IUI with injects.
We are OOP and our doctor suggested we go straight to IVF because he said we would only have about 10% (or at most 15%) with IUI +injects, and about a 45% chance with IVF. Although the IVF costs 3x as much as IUI, he felt our chances with IUI were so small that we decided to put all our eggs in one basket (no pun intended) and jump straight to IVF.
That may not be the case for you, but I just wanted to throw that out because we went into our appt thinking we were going to be talking about doing IUIs and were totally blind-sided by the IVF suggestion and couldn't even think straight enough to figure out what questions to ask at the time.
