I am working with an ETSY dealer on a custom aio.. I am sending her my own fabric, but what fabric should I look for? Joann's fabric choices are completely overwhelming me!
It's really easy to become overwhelmed by fabric choices. I usually fabric shop one of two ways.
1. See a diaper made from fabric I love then find it on the web.
2. Search Etsy by specific themes (fairy tale, elephants, blue floral, etc.) place fabrics I'm interested in into my favorites then narrow it down from there where I can see all the choices on one page.
After I find the fabric I want and know the name of the fabric and the designer, Heather Ross Fish in Bags, I do a google search for the best price with shipping. I'm sure you could have the fabric shipped directly to the diaper maker to cut down on paying twice for shipping.
Thanks! See, I want to make a Bucknell diaper (where I went to school) but there is no Bucknell fabric. I looked at tshirts but none of them have an emblem or lettering small enough to use for a diaper SO I am just going to go with orange or blue fabric and the dealer is going to sew on some lettering on the butt. It is all I can think of to do...

So, does it matter what type of fabric I buy?
You'll want a knit or a woven. Most mamas prefer knit because it's stretchy, but since it's an AIO, it doesn't really matter due to the PUL
Thank you! Such a cutie you have!
