any teachers going back (and restarting DC) soon?

I'm stressing over next week.  Tuesday will be their first day in daycare since the summer started.  They only go part time, but it's still rough some days for dropping them off.

DH and I keep making references about "going back to school" and talking about their teachers, etc.  But I don't think it means too much to them right now.  

Any tips on starting again and making it as painless as possible?

DS just went back after a 3 week break (has been part time since summer began). I let him know he was going to daycare but I don't think, at 18 months, it sank in. He cried hysterically this morning but when I called to check in, she said he stopped as soon as I left. Hope the transition goes OK for your kids.

Thanks.  I'm making DH go with me Tuesday if he can. 

I have friends who let their kids stay in over the summer, but for us that is financially impossible!  Plus, I've had a blast with them this summer, and I suppose this is how their life will be through college - school, and then summers off.

If I didn't work part time in the summer, I would keep him home. I think they will get use to it.
