3 yr old scared of the dark

My 3 yr old recently has become scared of the dark. She doesn't like that her room looks different when it is dark. She has nightlights in her room and I've been leaving the hall light on but now she is insisting that her light right next to her bed be on ... all night long. I hate to have such a bright light on in her room. I can't imagine that it allows her to sleep well. Has anyone else had this issue? How did you deal with it? Thanks!

Yeah. We're having this problem, too. Light on all night. Only halfway through the night, he comes into our room and sleeps at the foot of our bed. We can't break him of this. And now he won't go into the bathroom unless we turn on the light for him. He'll sit on our bed until we go in and turn on the light, and will only come to the bathroom when we tell him we've done it. And he wants us to stand there while he goes to the potty. I have no idea what to do. But you are not alone!

Scared of the dark here too.  I think the night light and closet light scare him more than being in the total dark.  For the past two months he's slept with the overhead light on.  If we turn the light off before we go to bed, he'll wake up in the middle of the night and turn it back on or he'll come find us and tell us the light is off.  I'm not really sure what to do about this.
