I helped out my MIL with her kids church service today. I put names on name tags. I asked the first little girl her name and she said it was Jensen. I asked, "J-E-N-S-E-N?" She said, no. Her name was spelled with a Y! Jensyn! Ugh, it figures. So, the last row of kids were Jensyn, Jadyn and Jasmyne. Others were Breanna, Kyron (boy), Kimora (girl, sibling to Kyron), Kyle, Grayden (boy), Ella (lucky), Joey (boy), Anna (my DD), and Savannah. Those are all I remember. An interesting bunch for sure.

Re: Interesting Names in Church
And she'll get this her whole life. thanks mom.
I hate how parents are trying to be "youneek" with the way they spell their child's name.
It's not very unique and it annoys me sometimes.
I was joking with DH and said if we have a boy we should spell his name : Willyam Jaemes (William James). Or for a girl, Annuh (Anna).
I know!!! I was thinking the same thing! Do parents choose names based on whether or not they could put a Y in it??? Ugh, people. I actually expected Breanna's name to be Bryanna based on the theme.

IKR horrible
My H and I both work in fields where we see a lot of awful names. I'm keeping a mental list of bad names and spellings for when I get pregnant and people ask us our names. I think it will be a true sign of friendship if someone tells me spelling my kid's name Molleigh or Alyx is a bad idea.
