I POAS this morning and it said positive. It is exciting and scary all at the same time! My DD will not even be 1.5 years before this new baby comes! Is it sad that one of my first thoughts was newborn diapers? Last time we had newborn prefolds, thirsties XS and newborn proraps. What diapers fit your LO first? None of these fit my LO until she was around 3 weeks. She was 7 lbs 4 oz.

DS was 7lb 6oz and we used GMD prefolds or KL0 with Thirsties covers and BG xs. They all fit from birth but the BG were obviously much more trim.
Congrats!! You'll be just great with the age difference!! Ours are 17.5 mos apart (as "planned" as we could get) and we love it! As far as the stash goes - well, we used about the same as you did, but DD (our second) only fit in the fitteds (XS) for about 1.5 weeks - she was 8 lbs 9 oz when born.

We used a SBD fitted,little joey's, swaddlebees newborn fitteds, Kissaluvs 0, GMD workhorse fitteds in newborn, and some xs pockets (fuzzi bunz and happy heiny)
The SBD fitted, kissaluvs and the lil joeys fit the best right out of the hospital. But I have to say that the swaddlebees newborn fitteds were my favorite and lasted the longest. They even had a fold down snap for the umbilical cord.

We used GMD ornge edge prefolds, and KLOs with Thirsties covers, bummis SWW, and Prowraps in xs/nb sizes. We also had a few BG xs and FB xs, which were really cute and I loved them too. If I ever have another one (which I don't think will happen) I would use the prefolds and Thirsties covers and the BG and FB again.

(My son is a few months ahead of your LO and I can't even image dealing with his clingyness and morning sickness and fatigue at the same time. You are a brave soul!)

As for nb diapers, I actually really liked the premie prefolds, which I only used for about 2 weeks on my baby but she was 8lb 12oz at birth. They aren't super absorbent, but you're changing so much the first couple weeks it isn't a big deal.
