I actually like work but am having a dilemma now...

and all the guests/randomness behind. Bring on work! I even liked being in meetings today! All hail work and normalcy after my insane weekend/mother.

But on a serious note...I got cloth diapers at the shower. (YAY) now my boss is worried/freaking out I won't come back to work after the baby because someone mentioned daycare won't take cloth...so, 1) they will and 2) I am undecided but am most likely NOT coming back but I need to keep pretenses going for the insurance. What would you do?

i would just reassure him that your plan on returning.  key word being "plan".

Just say you are working things out with the daycare, or plan to mix. I use disposables at daycare and cloth at home, many moms do that.

or tell them, hello, heard of a diaper service?  and not all daycares dont accept cloth.  Or you could say youre doing sposies during day, cloth at home.

 By the way, what kinds of cloth diapers did you get?  I'm still building up my stock but I don't plan to receive any at my shower because my friends have started a poll on how long I'll actually stick with using them.  They should know me well enough to realize that's like double daring me.

I gotta say, high five on the sneaky efforts.  I like knowing I'm not the only one planning on using STD for maternity leave, but not going back to work.

I would tell him you plan on returning and only using the cloth diapers at home, that you will be sending disposables to the daycare.

 Re: cloths - I got prefolds with covers and the BG 3.0s - just 4 of them. We actually plan on buying the kissaluvs for the begining (with covers, of course) and then we'll go from there. Apparently my insane husband told everyone we wanted lots and lots of pre-folds. I have no idea why but now we have 30 infant prefolds! Holy guacamole!

Stick to the message that you plan to return. Although you are leaning toward staying home, you never know how you will end up feeling until you experience it. You may decide you want to come back and therefore, you should avoid burning any bridges until you know.  GL with it all.
