Soo i'm in my first pregnancy w/ Twins and was curious how much bigger everyone's Tummys got than a single pregnancy tummy? I'm super tiny body frame and only 13 weeks, so I cannot imagine how the heck my stomach will look or how my body will handle it.
Anyone have pics to post from their pregnancy?!?
Thanks!

I'm almost 30 weeks - and about the size that I was with DS at term.
Yeah. I'm going to be much bigger than a singleton pregnancy.

First U/S February 25, 2011 = TWINS!!!
Boy/girl twins born October 4, 2011
Here is my belly the week before my boys were born at 37 weeks. I am 5'0 and I thought that I would be HUGE. My boys were 6.10 and 5.14. So I think I wasn't so big afterall.
I am considerably bigger this time around than I was with my singleton!
Left is 26 weeks this pregnancy, Right is 26 weeks with my son.
My belly has grown, a lot, since that pic was taken almost 2 weeks ago...

This is my first too, so I don't have anything to compare it to but my sister has very similar body type as I do and I would say I look at 32 weeks what she did at 37 with a singleton. I think a lot depends on your body type and height. I am 5'7" so I think I have more room than someone who is 5'3" or something. So far I have not gotten too big and some people are amazed to hear I have twins. I am starting to get the strangers who make comments like "wow you are about ready to pop- when are you due?" or "you must be due anyday now" I just say no I have almost 2 more months but I have twins.
DS1 was born at 37w5d
Twins born at 38w
(sorry for the goofy look on my face, this was at 5:00am when we were heading in for my c/s). At the end of my pg I think I measured 47w (or maybe 45w). With my singleton I always measured exactly on target.
This was my first, but honestly, I didn't get as huge as I thought I'd get. (Although I only made it 34.5w.) I'm tall and thin though. The babies had plenty of room to spread out.
My final belly pic with the twins - 37 weeks. I delivered two days later. HUGE difference in size.

I don't have a singleton to compare to either, but here I am at 34.5 weeks (2 weeks before I had them). Dr. said I took this twin pregnancy well and that I measured 42 weeks in the end.
I am 14 weeks pregnant with twins and still feeling 'small'. I am 5'11 but really skinny weighing only 132 lb. I also am wondering how my body is going to handle these twins and can't imagine a HUGE belly on my body! I had my son at 38 wks, 6 days and was fairly big.
If you're interested in seeing my belly progress too.. just because it seems like we're in the same boat.. here's my blog. I'll be posting pics every week.

Good luck and don't worry too much! If your body wasn't able to carry twins you wouldn't have gotten pregnant with them! Enjoy this super exciting time!
I got scary-big. I'm 5'6" and gained a little over 50 lbs. My boys were born at 36 1/2 weeks and were 8.7 and 7.1 (21 & 21.5").
Here I was at 31 weeks!
And a scary picture at 35 1/2 weeks, a week before I delivered, when I was on bedrest. My husband's huge tshirt barely fit:
I started getting torpedo-shaped once the boys started overlapping one another.
This is me at 37w4d, the morning of my c-section. I was measuring over 50 weeks for a singleton.
ETA: I am 5'4" and was just under 100lbs pre-preg.
Youre the exact same size as I am pre-pregnancy. 100 pounds and 5'4"
Thats why i was so nervous about having twins cause I have always been so small and want to know I can handle the pregnancy w/out any probs.
Was your pregnancy been pretty good overall? How much weight did you gain? Thank you for sharing your pic! It definitely gives me an idea!
I gained just under 50lbs and lost 40 within the first week (apparently it was mostly fluid). I had a pretty good pregnancy. I was pulled from work at 28 weeks because I was having a lot of contractions. I was on modified bed rest for the duration of my pregnany, and strict bed rest for the last 2 weeks due to blood pressure issues.
Weeks 22-26 hurt like hell because that is when I did most of my growing. I thought my stomach would split open. But after that, I really felt pretty good!
You will be surprised at what your body can handle. Good luck!
Thank you SOOO much for sharing your story with me! I honestly have been so worried about it being so small that is, but you definitely have put my mind a lot at ease. Thanks again!
