So, I have heard the name Araceli (which I love, love, love now and am trying to persuade DH on). I know a girl named Araceli but she pronounces it Air-ah-cel-ee and goes by Celi (like a cell phone). [Poll]

I worked with a girl named Araceli, pronounced ar-uh-SEL-ee. I've always thought it was a really pretty name.

I always get confused when pronunciations are spelled out so I didn't answer.

 Anyway, my friend's name is Araceli (maybe 2 ls instead). She pronounces it Ara-cell-e

See my first thought when I saw it was that it might be Italian, in which case I went with AraCHeli.
