I know this is irrational but...

I spent the night puking while DH was at the baseball game. Luckily the actually vomitting didn't start until after I got kids in bed so it worked out rather well. This morning I'm better (read not puking but still feeling yucky) and DH has the gall to "think" he might be feeling a little sick... So therefore my actual sick no longer counts for a morning off. Seriously I can't even enjoy my sick time?!

Re: I know this is irrational but...

  • well I know when my husband is sick it's like he's dying so yeah I would be pissy if I were you knowing you were ill.

  • I totally understand. Same thing always seems to happen with my DH as well so that he's "dying" for the next day or two but I have to suck it up and still take care of the kids. Fun. Hope you feel better soon!

Definitely. Puking takes all energy out of you. He can suck it up until he pukes.

I agree, tell him that when he pukes you will take over!

no, he's not a faker - just very sensitive and easily influenced by any mention of illness. A tad bit of a hypochondriac. He's a good guy though and actually has now taken the kids out. I should have had more faith in him.
