My dr recommended I get one at my last appt but I remember last time I got really sick and just don't want to be right now...I'm sure if I got the flu while pregnant I'd be even more sick...but still...just curious, how many of you got one?
DH and I both got them two weeks ago, no side effects for either of us. Mine didn't even hurt, during or after. It's such an easy thing to do to protect yourself, and your baby wil get the antibodies as well. Important, since they can't get flu shots before 6 mos. and it's flu season.

Had mine on Friday at my 36w appt, my arm was sore for a couple days otherwise so far so good. My DD can't get the flu shot so hubby and I need to get it, plus I work in a daycare.

I got one at 33 weeks and had no side effects except a sore arm for about a day . . .I get one every year though because I'm in the healthcare field. It seems like the best way to protect not only yourself but your baby since the baby can't get one until 6 months (and mine will be born in the midst of flu season!)
DH and I got our a couple weeks ago. It takes 2 weeks for it to take effect so get it ASAP. The doctor also recommended that anyone who who be around the baby a lot to get one, i.e. grandmothers, etc. In the past, the flu shot has given me a slight headache and arm ache for a day or so, but this time I felt nothing!
I got mine last week at my checkup. The nurse told me to get DH to wait until late Nov. to get his (unless there is a shortage) in case the flu season runs later this year like last year.
I got one at my last appointment about a week ago. It was fine; I just had some soreness in my shoulder for a couple of days and some achiness and dragginess the next morning, but I feel fine now. My baby's due in January, so it seemed especially important to give her the protection.
I got my first one this morning. We wanted to protect our little guy since he will be here during the flu season and we will also be flying later on too. Nothing yet, but a sore arm!
I got one last month and have had no problems other than a little achy feeling for a couple days afterwards where they gave me the shot. I get it every year because I have asthma and my dr. highly recommends it for me.
Re: Who got a flu shot?
I'm getting mine on Thursday.
We did.
I got mine last week at 36 wks and I didn't have any side effects (my arm was a little tender for a couple of days but that is normal)
My OB recommends that pg women get flu shots especially if they are delivering during the flu season!
