I know there have been a million posts about double strollers. I actually posted a poll a couple of days ago. A lot of the responses were for amazing strollers that are priced in the $400+ range. I am all about quality, but cannot see spending this much on a double stroller. Does anyone have any recommendations for a more inexpensive double stroller? I was looking at the maclaren one and also the combi. In addition to being more inexpensive, they seem more compact, which I like. Anyone have any thoughts?

Re: inexpensive options for a double stroller
My friend has the Combi. I think it's only compatible with the Combi infant seat if you want to use it like a travel system. She hates that the sun shade is so small. It's not bad for the type of stroller, but it isn't exactly easy to push with a baby and a toddler.
I know someone that has an InStep double. It's really cheap. She likes it and said it comes apart to fit in any trunk. https://www.walmart.com/ip/InStep-Safari-Swivel-Wheel-Double-Jogging-Stroller-Blue-and-Gray/13264734
I knew I didn't want to buy a stroller I would hate and end up being another stroller. That's how we ended up with the splurge. I have the BJCM. Albee Baby often has the 2010 model on sale for $299.99. You also might want to look into the BJ City Micro
Good luck!
Craigslist.
Used.
Less than half the price.

This is what I did-- 2010 BJCM from Albee Baby for $299 with free shipping. Couldn't be happier with it, worth every penny!
I found a great one on Craigslist. It's a Kolcraft and I paid 40 bucks for it.
This - we got a used Maclaren twin techno for $50 (after stalking the listings for almost a year, I found this one - the others were all for >$100). I wouldn't use it as my primary stroller for walks around the neighborhood, but it is fabulous to keep in the car and it even fit in our car to take on vacation. For that alone, it was worth the money!
We have a Bumbleride Indie twin as our main stroller which we love, but if your primary use for the stroller will be in and out of the car, definitely look for a maclaren on craigslist!
This.
I bought my BOB Duallie on Craigslist. It had been used TWICE and was over $350 cheaper than a new one.
I didn't rush it. I started looking, put out a "wanted" ad, and just was patient and picky. Eventually the perfect stroller surfaced. I'm glad I didn't get anxious and go shell out nearly $700.
I did buy my Baby Jogger City Select new. But when I bought it (summer of 2010) they were backordered and ther were waiting lists. Nobody was selling them on Craigslist yet and ebay was just (if not more) expensive.
