I challenge you (and me)

I challenge you (and me) to do one thing from your "if only", "I want to be when I grow up", "someday, I am going to" list, or from your Pinterest page (for example I have boards and boards of things I want to make. Instead of just collecting the ideas, how about I make something!).

We all have those little daydreams, bucket lists, etc. Well ladies, lets make at least one of them happen!

Mine: I picked up some furniture from Freecycle. Everything is sitting in the garage, preventing my DH from being able to park in there. One piece is 1/4 of the way sanded, that is it. By next Friday I will have these pieces done and in the house! (A dresser, 3 strage cubes and an old fashioned writing desk)

Can it be a household chore that you've been putting off?  We really need to clean out/organize our bedroom closet.

I think that having it be an household chore is just fine. Often a task around the house that we feel like we should get done, or need to get done, but put it off, ends up being a little thorn, ruining that overall feeling of accomplishment. (What a run on sentence - sorry!).

So, go for it!

There is painting on there that I love and want to recreate and a Christmas tree skirt. I keep looking at them thinking "I could do that". Hmmm...

Great idea!  Last week, I finally got around to purchasing a very el cheapo sewing machine.

My goal will be get myself familiar with it and do a tiny project I have been wanting to do...too bad I can't become an expert seamstress in one week, but this will be a start

My goal: finish sewing blankets for selling at the BBF.  I also need to set aside time to finish sort/inventory/price clothes, so I really need to bump less and work more!

What a great idea!! I found a "Household Binder" Idea on pininterest to organize a calendar, menus, household info, etc. that I thought was a good idea. I even bought a binder - so mine will be to put the basics of the binder together

I bought an album to store all the 8 by 10s on N and for over a year it?s sat on the shelf while the photos not on the wall are ina file folder.

 

I?m giving myself an extra week because next week is N?s party.

Great idea! I have been allegedly working on my family-photo wall for a year now. Maybe I'll try to finish (start) it in the next week!

I need to get more aquainted with my sewing machine so that my H doesn't always have to rethread it for me. This way I can finish the blanket I started for C months ago.

Since we're moving and have to be packing next week, I am going through EVERYTHING and if we did not use it in the last year or will not be using it next year it's going to goodwill. I LOVE getting rid of things because I feel like everything can be more organized and simple, yet I tend to LOVE buying things as well! I plan on making a couple goodwill trips!

With this as a motivational helper, I just signed up for the Bumps & Babies fair.  I will have all of my items (which are half prepped now) ready to go for next Friday.

Il'll Play! On my walk over to zista's yesterday, I saw a free coffe table on the side of the road. I convinced her to pick it up for me so I can make a play station for w outside. I will work hard to have it ready this week. I should say, I'll finish the felt foods I started making, but that would mean unpacking my office/sewing room first.

I can't decide whether to tag things for the B&B fair, or finally find a set of bookshelves to get DS's toys off the floor... Maybe I'll do both!

I will hang at least a few things on the walls of our family room.  (We moved into the house in November!)  We spend the most time in this room, and it's the least decorated.

Love this! But you just caught me coming off a bunch of finished projects (photo wall, big boy room). Well, I am throwing my first baby shower Sunday so that being a success is my goal!

This week - finishing Thank You cards for all the meals people brought over after K was born. I have one for next week too! - get the photos I printed matted, framed, and hang in the livingroom.

I am going to make a mobile for a friend's baby shower, Vegan Chai Tea cupcakes for a co-worker's birthday, and hopefully attempt another diaper for DS.

I bought a sewing machine a few months ago now in hopes of learning to quilt. My challenge will be to learn to thread it and make something super easy too.
