Pulled ab muscle?

Last night I was holding my neighbor's son (who is probably just a few pounds heavier than Caroline), and I twisted weird or something and felt a sharp pain in my stomach.  All day today it has been really sore - like sore to the touch or hurts if I'm sitting or laying in a certain position, picking up Caroline, etc.  The worst part is just htat I can't take a deep breath without it hurting. I feel like I probably pulled a muscle, and the baby is still moving fine, etc.  So wasn't too worried about anything being wrong, but I was just wondering if anyone else did anything similar?

I didn't feel like I really needed to go to the doctor or anything, but Joey thinks I should call just to see if they want me to come in, and now of course I'm having a paranoid crazy pregnant woman episode and worrying too much.

Gah, I freaked out about every.little.thing when I was pregnant with Caroline, and this pregnancy has been so stress-free until today, but I've made myself crazy by googling and looking up crazy stuff online.

I did the same thing when I was carrying Nkosi. I went to the hospital and my gyno came in and she had me stay overnight to be monitered.

I would go for peace of mind.

Polly stressed my ab muscles to the limit and then Isaac grew about the same rate so I had similar muscle strain.  The unfortunate thing is that the growing pregnancy will continue to strain the muscles so they don't really get to rest like normal.  You could get a pregnancy support belt and I think that will help but you should definitely call your dr just in case.
