it's getting harder for me to get to and from work now with public transportation and the fact that my pelvis kills me.
what are you feeling? Are some weeks better than others (not before obviously) ie. week 37 wasn't as bad as week 36 lol (haha I'm praying here)
I'm just worried I won't be able to make it to full term without asking for early maternity leave and I really don't want to I'm so uncomfortable now and it's growing more each day.
Re: 36+ weekers
It honestly overall hasn't been that bad for me. Some days the pressure is harder than others, but I just fight through it. I'm still managing to walk 3 miles a day 4x per week & I consider that a major accomplishment!
Oh yeah - the crunchy pelvic feeling comes and goes. I'll wake up with old lady hips one day and the next feel feel almost normal! Uh - normal is relative at this point, of course.
And yes, the pressure can get pretty uncomfortable if I walk too much - but again it changes every few days. Or maybe I just get used to it for a while...? The insomnia is what's been bothering me lately. Hopefully that will change tonight...
I also take public transportation and it is starting to wear on me. The worst times are at the end of the day when no one gives up their seat. People are such jerks... do they think it's easy carrying this giant bump around?
I totally know where you are coming at with the pelvic pain. It has been my biggest complaint the past couple of weeks.
I drive to and from work - and it's quite uncomfortable. I have short legs and a long torso, which forces me to sit close to the steering wheel to reach the gas and break pedals. Now, the steering wheel is literally IN my belly in order to drive, which is not only unsafe, but uncomfortable.
Do you at least sit down on the bus/train? Or do you have to stand??
Overall, I feel pretty good, I'm just getting to where I want to meet my baby. I left work early today and I'm going to rest then go for a walk. I have pressure and uncomfortableness (is that a word?!?) some times, but truly I feel much better then I thought I would at this point...then again, I was hoping to have a baby today - October 20th. Does not look like it's going to happen!!
My pelvic pain isn't so bad, but hauling around the extra weight is really starting to get to me. ?I feel so tired and grumpy all the time, I'm just ready for this gal to get here!
