I am so new to all this! So what is considered safe exercise? I was running/walking combo of on avg 3 miles 5 days a week. Now I'm just scared to workout. When is it ok to start working out and how much is safe?
I would ask your doctor about that for sure, but I'm pretty sure you should be able to keep up with what you were doing as long as it's not too hard on your body. I'm pretty sure I remember reading that it's ok to keep exercising at the level you were, but it's not the time to start running miles per day if you never have before (if that makes sense!).

Aw thank you! We loved all of our photos, they were done by Gruman Photography. My avatar picture is my absolute favorite picture though!
The American College of Ob/Gyn (ACOG) has pretty clear statements on this and what some of the things to watch out for are for your focus of sport.
I'm a competitive lifter and I'm still lifting numbers that would make the average guy proud. Basically the idea is "You didn't train like a knucklehead before you got PG, don't train like a knucklehead now that you are pregnant"... Use your brain and train to how you're feeling on any given day. If you need to hold yourself back, do so. But, the key thing is you have to listen to your body.
