Doppler HB Question (I might be weird)

So I found my hb first - 94bpm (just came in from a brisk walk)- and then I think I found baby's at 169bpm.  My question is... did you ever wonder in the back of your mind if you were just hearing your hb and not baby's? 

This is how my mind got there - your heart beats from two chambers "bump, bump" not just one "bump" so if you're picking up both beats it'll register twice as fast... right?  So let's say my HB was 80bpm and "baby's" was 160bpm... could you/do you wonder if it's really baby?

I've been finding both mine and baby's the last few days, and it sounds like one heart beat overlapping the other...just HB's all over the place. I get what you're saying, but for them to double on the screen like that I think they would have to be beating in synch, right?

Now you've got me thinking, LOL!

The firsttime I used ours I got confused at who's HB I was hearing.  I have a heartrate monitor for running and I went up and put mine on so I could see what my heartrate was.  I that was a little odd, but I couldn't help it that I was confused!

And, I think the HB in the 160's was def the baby's!
