Daycare

I need some help please. I have had my son in home care since he was born. He is now almost 20 mos.old. He has been diagnosed with verbal aprixia and I know having him around more children his age will help with his speech. I am looking for daycares that are either near our home which is in the area of Buford,Dacula, and Laweranceville or near my office which is located by Northside and St. joes. I am having a hard time finding a decent place that is not awfully expensive. Right now I only work part time so I can spend time with my son. If you all have any suggestions I would be so grateful. Thank you for the help!

Re: Daycare

  • Sorry I don't really know anywhere in the area, but I wanted to possibly suggest a church daycare or MMO program.  I have found that most of the time they switch age groups in august/sept (so they may have some openings) and they seem to be more afordable.

  • In Lawrenceville there is a child care center called Kids Crossing. It's just outside of old Lawrenceville.

  • I don't have any recs for those areas but I wanted to say my son has speech issues to and is in speech therapy. I moved him back in june to a center after being at inhome daycare since he was a baby. He loves his school and it really has helped being around more kids his age. Good luck and I hope you find a great place to send him.

  • thanks everyone. There are no "full time" church daycares in my area and the ones near my office are really exp. I know he needs more interaction with other children. I hope to find something soon.
