Prefold help

Just got my first set of prefolds and got them ready. DS was due for a change so we jumped right in...totally my first time ever CDing my little guy so I am a newbie.

Slightly disappointed how bulky the prefold looks. Feel like I could probably be doing something wrong or are prefolds just normally bulky? Not sure DS will be able to fit in his normal pants with a fluff but like this! 

Any tips on folding so they are not as bulky?

What kind/size of prefolds are you using? Gmd ( green mountain diaper) has a pretty good picture tutorial on PF folds. They will be quite a bit bulkier than sposies. It may just take some getting used to?

you will get used to them.

We now trifold. I really hated them at first. I promise in a week it won't look so huge to you. Here is my post for proof...lol. Some good replies too...

oh and we did bump up a clothing size as soon as she went into cloth.

Thanks ladies!! I think it may just be a "getting used to" kinda thing. I bought Indian prefolds...one size I believe so I expected them to be a bit larger. Guess I have to get used to the fluff bum and embrace it! Just wanted to make sure I was doing it right...but after watching 100 videos, pretty sure I am doing all of the folds right.

I am just excited to get away from the disposables! Thanks for the insight!!
