Trying to Get Pregnant

BFP!

I'm 5 days away from AF and I decided to POAS this morning.  I didn't have my hopes up even though I've had certain indications that maybe I was expecting because I thought they were all in my head.  But, sure enough, the little timer went off and I had a wonderful PREGNANT on the screen!  Now I'm excited, terrified and hoping that it's all true.  I'm buying more tests tonight so I can double check... or triple and quadruple check.  Wish me luck!

Watch it with that formulation.  One wouldn't want to suggest that all the folks getting consecutive BFNs around these parts weren't "working" hard enough or well enough.

    OP:  congrats.

  • To those that side-eyed:  I think "good work" is a really strange response to a BFP post.  Meaning what, that if you got a BFN you did NOT "do good work"?  I don't think its the right sentiment for the circumstances.  "Good work" = "nice job on that presentation", "way to finish your novel", etc.  In a situation where good fortune and chance play more of a role than skill, "congratulations" is more appropriate.

It's reading way too much into the phrase "good work" to take it to mean that someone has done "work" that was "good"?  Uh-huh.
