lighting crotch

Exactly what is "lighting crotch" that I see people talking about.  I've been getting some sharp pains down below from time to time....is this it?  Just curious...

When the baby kicks or head butts or punches your vag/cervix.  During 2nd trimester it was cute bc he wasn't that big and his little pows only felt like thumps.  Now that he is a full size baby, my cervix takes a beating.  It's a sharp, painful sensation in your cervix/vagina.  I had one so bad last week that the only thing I could think to do was scream.  Like an actual blood curdling scream.  Poor DH...freaks him out.

I had a really bad one last week too....felt like she just punched down as hard as she could.  When I screamed DH did jump up a bit & asked what was wrong.  I told him that his daughter was not being nice   I've noticed more of these pains in the evening/night time but I also notice that she is more active than too.

Yup that is it! When it first happened to me during the pregnancy (didn't get them last time), I thought I had a UTI brewing. Kind of surprising and painful!

The bigger they get, the more powerful.  I've been sitting in a restaurant when I've been hit...I think I jumped 3 feet.

Sharp, quick, painful feeling in your cervix/vag. It's called lightening crotch, not due to a "lightining"  or electric feeling, but due to the "lightening" period of pregnancy when the baby drops into the birth canal.

It's wonderful! Especially in public places!

I had some kicks/punches to the crotch last night. It was uncomfortable but I would not consider them painful. I'm sure as I get closer, they will get worse. After about the 3rd one, I did look at my belly and say "hey knock it off!" lol!

I've been experiencing those.. I thought he was kicking my bladder and my bladder was full or something.  Interesting!
