I have been lurking for a few days and wanted to introduce myself. I am 7w with #1 so we have not told many people locally - the reason I have only been lurking. My H is a brand new attorney and I am a graphic designer.
For routine GYN I had been in an office and loved the CNP, but did not love the OB, so I went to my first appt Monday in a new (to me) practice with 6 Dr.s and hated it. I felt like a number and that he could care less about me or my questions, yes I had a list.
So, per my mothers OB, who delivered both my sister and I, I am now with Dr. David Aichholz. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with him? I loved that on his website he said he left a large practice b/c it felt too much like a business and Dr./patient relationships were lost.
Thanks and looking forward to getting to know all of you
Re: Intro :) First time expecting. OB question.
Thanks for the warm welcome I was so happy to find this local board. It will be nice to be able to talk about things like delivering at Christ and for people to know what I am talking about!
I have noticed on the birth month board that a lot of cities have very few hospitals and the choices for an OB are so slim... Just seems so odd since we have so many large and really great hospitals to choose from around here I grew up around here and it is all I have ever known.
You got me Lily is my 4 year old English Bulldog and when she is bad the full "Lily Potter" comes out!
Married to my BFF on 8.13.05 (after dating 5 years)!
DS born 2.14.08. DD born 9.30.09.
YAY! I am sooooo glad to hear it! He came so highly recommended from my mothers OB who she has been with for 30+ years now
I am not tooo terribly worried about the u/s thing. My schedule is very flexible and I had saved up all of my personal time at work since I knew we would be trying this year.
My first appt with the group of 6 makes me more uncomfortable the more I think about it! I hated feeling like a number. He didn't even address my by my name the entire appointment. I figured I would at least get a "Hi Elizabeth", b/c my MIL actually works in their surgical dept and had told him that morning I was coming in!
