It sucks that your shirts didn't fit but I love your scar trick.  That was pretty quick thinking!!

    thanks!  this late in the game there is  NO WAY I'm spending money on fall-weather clothes.   I've pretty much exhausted all other possibilities of staying warm, and the scarf on the belly (it was a long wool one, probably 24" wide and 54" long) was pure brilliance.  Thank DH for his creative thinking!
