My brother is a Daniel (he's 19 though...) I don't know many other than him, it is surprising to me too that it's number 8 on the SSA list! BTW, my other brother's name is Andrew and I had a cousin who was named Phillip, I think you have good taste in names!

i don't know any Daniels that are young kids.  My brother (28) and husband (30) are both Daniel.... I love that name, but my husband doesn't like it for LO.

Plus, it is a family name in my family. My uncle is a Daniel, so is my cousin, step father, and grandfather.

Under 5?  None.  I teach elementary school, and in our whole school, I think there's only 3.  MH is Daniel, as well.

I'm surprised it's that high on the SSA list because I don't know any little boys named Daniel.  All of the Daniels/Dans I know are adults.

That's so weird that most of you don't know any little boys with that name either and yet it's #8. There must be a whole state full of them somewhere. LOL

I don't know any under the age of 5.  The youngest Daniel I can think of is DH's brother, who is 16.

DH is a Daniel and the others I know are all in their 30's. I really love that name and think it would be great on a little boy.

Zero, but me and my sister are each married to one, and I know 5 more adults with the name. It doesn't seem common for the newest generation, though.

Ironically, DS is Daniel, but I will say that I have not heard it on anyone else under about 15...

I know 3 under 5.  I knew about 15,000 growing up in the 80's/90's though so the name has a very boring overdone feeling to me.

My nephew just turned 7 and he's Daniel, but he's the only Daniel I know in that age group.  Love the name though!
