FIL in ICU... prayers please!

Hi Ladies,

Sorry i've been MIA! DH and I went to Miami for 6 days to be with my MIL and FIL. My MIL called me this past Tuesday to tell me that my FIL was not doing good.

Quick rewind...... 5 years ago my FIL had pancreatitis so bad that he was in the ICU for months in a medically enduced coma! 13 months ago he recieved a liver transplant and has pretty much been in the hospital ever since due to all kinds of complicaitons.

Last Tuesday my FIL went into surgery for his pancreas (i'm not that good at the medical terms so i'm not sure exactly what they were trying to do to his pancreas). Well, during the procedure the doctor nicked his splenic artery!!!! She thought she froze it when she was in there so he went to recovery. While my MIL was sitting with him he started to throw up blood and it wouldn't stop! He had to be intubated and rushed back into emergency surgery for 5 hours! Well, right when he got rushed in my MIL called me (DH was at work). She is always calm and positive through all of these years and she did not sound good! I called DH at work right away and we went that night to Miami, which is about a 4 and a half hour drive. We spent everyday with them in the ICU for 6 days but we had to come home for work.

I'm so emotionally drained with everything going on in my life right now but then I think about my MIL and how much she's been dealing with for the past 13 months and I feel guilty for thinking I have it so bad.

Anyway, I just wanted to say i've been thinking about all of you ladies. If you can spare any prayers we would be thankful!

I'm going to go catch up on everyone's posts!
