I found a site that states that the double belly bar doesnt work with the car seat adapter, which is fine, however i want the get the child tray, but it says i need the double belly bar to use the child tray.Is this true? Is there a tray that doesnt need the belly bar?

You can use the adapter or the belly bar with the child tray. The child tray attaches to the belly bar so you need both.

Can i use the adapter at the same time as the belly bar? or can i attach a car seat to the belly bar?

No you can't use them at the same time. The adapter covers the part where the belly bar would snap in on one side. You aren't supposed to use the belly bar for the car seat, but I will say that we did from time to time. Our Graco Snugride fit perfectly and pretty securely just being set between the belly bar and the back of the stroller.
