Not sure. Most people/doctors/nurses/midwives will just scoop it up and whisk it away before you even know, not even telling you about it.

Honestly with everything that will be going on while you're pushing this is not a big deal at all! I don't know if it happened to me and I really don't care.

I don't know for sure but I think I did.  I had an epidural so I couldn't feel anything but a whole lotta pressure and some sting.

Yep, I knew it was going to happen because while waiting to get to 10 cm I was passing a lot of gas

Yep!  And I got to see it in all it's glory via the huge mirror I had to look into in order to see her coming out...I'm not sure if my husband saw, but I'm not gonna even ask.

I did not with my first but had induced with castor oil so I was already cleaned out pretty much I think.

I really dont think I did with either birth, but I don't know for sure. #1 was a water birth, and I only pushed twice with #2. It's not something either DH or I noticed.
