Hello! First time mom here... We just found out yesterday that we're going to have a baby girl! Yay! I already had names picked out for boy or girl. So she's going to be Charlotte Amy (Amy is my first name). I LOVE the name Charlotte, but I'm a little bit concerned that she's going to get teased in school because Charlotte rhymes with "harlot." I know the word is quite antiquated and not many kids will even know what it means, but I really want to avoid having my daughter come home from school in tears. I'd be okay with kids making fun of her for the more well known E.B. White's "Charlotte's Web," but I would NOT be okay with harlot for obvious reasons. So, what do you guys think? Should I nix the name Charlotte and go with something else? I know kids are cruel and whatever name I pick they'll find some way to make fun of her.... but I really want her to start out in life ahead.

That's funny.
I have a last name that was an easy target. My brothers and I got through it; you learn how to deal with teasing, no matter the form.

My DD is Charlotte Elizabeth. In all honesty, when looking at names, I picked what I liked...I did think once about the fact that Charlotte rhymes with harlot, but like others have said, kids at the teasing stage likely don't know what a harlot is, and also, kids will find SOMETHING to tease other kids about if they really want to.
To me, Charlotte is a pretty hard name to "tease". As long as you like the name and are comfortable with it, who cares, right?
