How do I get him to stop, he just plays with it when hes alone (hes brother goes to school) and while watching tv , I think hes bored! Around kids he forgets about it because hes busy running around, he also never does it when we go out somewhere.

Yeah, that's normal. You can ask him to do it in private if you feel the need.

Also, it's a penis. Not a "thing."

It's a penis.  He's going to touch it, there's not really a way around it.  Check to see that he isn't touching it because it's bothering him in some way.  If he's touching it just for fun let him know that he can touch his penis in the bedroom or the bathroom.  Be sure that you aren't telling him that it's bad or wrong, you don't want to scar him!

And it's going to happen.  Use it as a teaching moment.  But there's probably not a lot you can do about it.  It's his special friend that will never leave him.

Today we flew to FL to visit my in laws for the week. My 3yo was touching his penis at the dinner table. I told him he couldn't do that here, only in his room. So he started wailing that we hadbto get on the airplane and go home.
