Cloth Diapering

Trim Dipes

Please give me your recommendations for trim diapers.

My DS is not comfortable in his bulky OS diapers and I need some other options.  I really want to CD, but am having a hard time figuring out what's best.  I don't like prefolds, but do like AIOs, AI2s and pockets thusfar.  Do I just need to go with sized instead of OS?

Thanks!

ETA:  As much as like a cute dipe, it's not a necessity for us, so any brand is fine.

Re: Trim Dipes

  • In the beginning when LO is small, sized is going to be your best option for trim and the best fit.  Side snapping also tend to be more trim, and I believe AIO are more trim in general than AI2 or fitteds and covers.

Others really like the BG elementals, but I have no personal experience.

Thanks!  I have some BGEs and really like them, but was hoping to spend less than $25 a dipe.

I'll look at the review spreadsheet for some sized and side snap options.

  • JuJu, I remember you from the May board! I ended up having DS in March.... so I haven't been back to that board since Embarrassed

You can check out FishNoodles  I know a lot of mamas on here like them!

ETA: be sure to check out the sale area, there's a lot there!

Haha!  I'm surprised you remember me, as I wasn't very active on that board.  I haven't been back either.

Thanks for the rec! Another poster recommended them as well, but I didn't know about the sale area b/c I was on the Bright Star website rather than HC.

  • Bright star baby - but they are sized and still $21.50-22.50.  Grovia AIOs are very trim and the ice blue (and cosmos pink) are buy two get one free because that color is being discontinued.  They are normally around $22 each, I believe.  I like Elementals too but they are pricey!

  • Best Bottoms are super trim.  Thirsties Duos are pretty trim as well.

  • Even snapped down all the way, our Grovia AIOs are super trim. I wish I needed more, cause the sale that's going on now is a great deal!

I think Best Bottoms are our trimmest diapers and they work great for us.  The covers are OS but the inserts are sized.

  • Rocky Mountain Diapers are a super trim OS pocket. Baby Kangas aren't bad, either.
