Lets play WFD!

Going grocery shopping after lunch.  What are you all having for dinner this week?

So far Im planning to have homemade pizza tonight and hotdogs tomorrow night (Landons request) , going out Wednesday for my birthday and no clue for Thursday or Friday.

Im wanting to do something in the crock pot one night.  Anyone have a great chicken crock pot recipe?

Thank God Im going out of town next Tuesday and dont have to grocery shop or cook for a solid week!!  Yay!  I HATE the whole menu planning, & grocery shopping process.

We got a ton of veggies at the farmer's market, so tonight we are grilling all of them and having them over salad greens with some goat cheese. (zucchini, corn, eggplant, squash, onion, mushrooms, peppers)

grilled flank steak sandwiches with carmelized onion, arugula, tomato and pesto on foccacia

Those are the only 2 meals I have planned. But pizza sounds good, so I think I will get some stuff to make pizzas on the grill when I go to the store today.

  • Tonight: Bacon Cheeseburger meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn

Tuesday: Chicken, cheesy rice and broccoli

    Wednesday: out w/FIL

    Thursday: Shrimp Stir Fry

    Friday: Homemade pizza

    Saturday: Date night

Sunday: All day Jack and Jill

    I have an easy week.

  • We have a very boring week "planned".

Last night - Hot dogs, corn on the cob, strawberries

    Tonight - tacos

    Tuesday - breakfast for dinner

    Wednesday - Spaghetti

Thursday - Turkey burgers, green salad

    Friday - pizza

  • Last night we had fish tacos with cabbage and a lime-yogurt sauce. Yum!

I have a large piece of salmon that needs to be used so tonight will be grilled salmon and probably sesame noodles. Maybe broccoli as a vegetable?

As for the rest of the week, I'm not sure yet. Sloppy joes at some point since I have all the ingredients. I also have a whole chicken plus tons of garden veggies: eggplant, tomatoes, cucumbers, kale, zucchini, yellow squash, spaghetti squash and peppers that will all need to be used somehow. Plus, a friend gave me a big bag of blemished peaches from his tree: they were all damaged this spring from hail. Once I cut off the bad parts they'll be good for a pie or cobbler.

  • Tonight we're grilling pork loin and having rice annd some kind of veggie.
    Tomorrow is tacos (I'm working)
    Wednesday is jambalaya
    Thursday is baked stuffed chicken
Friday is potato soup (I know it's too hot, but I haven't had it in so long!)
Saturday is make your own pizza
    Sunday is chicken enchiladas
