Is the BOB really that much better than all the other jogging strollers out there?
Even a used BOB will cost us more than a new Joovy but don't want to regret not getting the BOB.
We are not long distance runners by any means but we do run on one path sometimes that is crushed gravel so we need something that can handle that.
Re: Jogging Strollers - BOB vs Joovy vs ???
I dont know what your price range it but I love The Chariot Jogger, it can do so much more than just a jogger, if you guys want to bike ride, it does that as well, or ski, or hike. The Chariot can change into many different things and covers the child all the way as well as has the highest safety rating..
my DH and I love it we bought it when DD was a baby and we use it all the time, for biking, jogging, cross county skiing, we also bought the two sitter bc we knew we where going to have another LO so now its going to be out double stroller as well..
they sale them at REI.com take a look
As with anything... you get what you pay for. The BOB is ahhhhmazing.
Plus it hold it's value REALLY well, so I plan on reselling it when we are done.

I too must profess love for the BOB. I would call myself a wogger (walk/jog) and it's been great. I'm tall, so the long reach is good. It's great on the grass. And on the pavement, I swear it propels itself. I actually use the wrist strap, because I'm afraid it will get away from me on the steep hills.
My only complaints are - the small basket (which I think is every jogger), each part is additional (rain cover, cup holders, infant attachment, etc) and it's a little big for the mall and stuff (though I hear there's now a City BOB).
In fairness, I've never used the Joovy.
Please, please, please go try out the strollers you are considering in person. I purchased a BOB revolution online because of all the rave reviews and my DS HATED it. He does not like to be down low and in a deep stroller like a BOB (they are very cave-like, and he is off the charts for height, so it is not like he is a tiny kid). I tried and tried to make it work but I ended up selling it. If your child doesn't love the stroller you won't end up getting any use out of it! Go to a store that has all the brands you are considering and let your LO try them all out. Make sure you bring your full diaper bag and try putting it in the basket, check out all the accessories for LO's snacks/drinks and make sure they can easily access them while still strapped into the harness (a problem with many strollers). Also, check out the harness buckle and make sure that it will be difficult to undo! You do not want to find out a year down the road that your LO can pop themselves out of the harness at any time! Many brands are coming out with safety features (like having to push two separate buttons, etc) because it can be really dangerous if your LO pulls something like that while you are jogging.
Good luck!
