  • I wouldn't if I were you. Being tired and nauseous are common symptoms of pregnancy and prenatal vitamins aren't gonna clear them up. You simply have to wait it out, rest when you need to and eat what you can.  A lot of times these symptoms clear up for the second trimester (though some will be back for the last.)

  • Prenatals don't help w/ morning sickness, and in fact can often make you feel worse if you are dealing with nausea. Why would you up your dose?
  • Welcome to pregnancy! You never want to increase the dosage of a vitamin's recommended daily allowance because you could damage your liver.  This is true if your vitamin contains iron.  Talk with your doctor about safer alternatives.

  • Prenatals are going to do anything for feeling tired and sick. That's just part of it. Taking too high a dose of vitamins isn't healthy.
  • Prenatals aren't a magic pill that make pregnancy symptoms go away. The point of them is to make sure that your baby is getting the nutrients he/she needs. Too much iron is bad for you (and baby), and it can also upset your stomach, which would have the opposite effect of what you're hoping for. Never take extra vitamins on top of your prenatal without consulting your doctor.
