 It's not Thursday but here is what seems to be an UO.

Every time someone says "money shot" when talking about their baby's genitals I cringe.  Money shot is a widely used porn phrase especially when talking about what's between one's legs.  Maybe I'm old fashioned or just up tight about this but I don't understand why that needs to be said.

It is a porn phrase, but that's not always been the meaning of it.  It generally means a very important, impressive, or memorable picture or scene- not just sex.  It's also used in sports to describe the winning shot or basket.  I get what you are saying, but it has other meanings!!  I guess porn has just tarnished it for some.

I honestly don't think I've heard them called the "money shots," although the phrase doesn't bother me.

I've always refereed to them as "potty shots."

I never knew that money shot was even related to porn. But, I have never watched porn either.  I think I posted it with my us picture.  Oh well.

I'm not saying I'm "pro" porn, we don't have any in our house either but I do have brothers and learned a lot from them.

 I know it's used in other things and I cringe when I hear it there too.

Yeah...come to think of it, that is pretty gross. I mean, would you post your "outside" baby's genitals and call it a money shot? Ew. You have convinced me never to use "money shot" in regards to my kid's wee wee.

P.S. Sorry for using the term outside baby.

I don't understand posting an u/s pic of the baby's genitals to begin with. I wouldn't post a pic of my baby's genitals once he/she born, so why would I post a pic of his/her genitals while he/she is still cooking? Just 'cause the pic is black and white and fuzzy, doesn't really justify it for me. I'm faaaar from a prude, so I don't know why it bothers me. I just don't need to see your baby's genitals.
