Scary night last night....

My husband, son and I went to our county fair last night. We were walking, eating, meeting animals and having a great time. It was hot, but comfortable. I was drinking water trying to stay hydrated and thought I was doing a good job. Then we were standing there and the area I was in just started spinning, and quick! I got very nauseous and dizzy. I just grabbed my husband (who was holding our son) and said I'm passing out, like right NOW! He threw DS in his stroller and got me to the ground. I did NOT pass out but that is the worst I've felt in a looooong time. I used to have a condition where I passed out a lot. It's gone after a surgery I had in 07' so I know it's not that, but atleast I knew what was happening before it happened. I drank a lot of water and got right home to bed. I am terrified that it could be something more but hopefully I really did just need water. Of course I am going to mention it to my OBs office and if it happens again, I'll know it's not dehydration and I will get to the doctor's office, stat! I passed out a lot with my DD when I was pregnant with her. And I came close to it 2 weeks ago with this pregnancy.  I know to stay hydrated, eat a lot of protien, and lay on your left side if you can (because this circulates your blood the best).  It is very scary!  Just wanted you to know you're not the only one with this issue!  My doc says it happens with some women in pregnancy and I just have to manage it well... Glad you're okay!

Same thing happened to me at a fair with DS. I was about 28 weeks pregnant and I went down! I was alone searching for food and one of the venders noticed I was not doing well and they let me "crash" in their tent. Water and AC helped. I hate that feeling of passing out.

My friend had the same issue when she was pregnant and only when she was pregnant...could feel it coming on sat down and just let it subside. I hope things get better but you might want to get your sugars looked at.  T&P are with you
