WTH is up with the new pampers?

We just got a new size of the Pampers Sensitive - size 4 and DD has leaked pee every single time she's worn one so far. 

I got the following letter from Amazon about them - 

We?re writing to let you know about recent product enhancements to Pampers Swaddlers Diapers.  Over the next several months you may notice that your Pampers Swaddlers Diapers are slightly different than the Pampers Swaddlers Diapers you?ve received in the past.  The product enhancements to your Pampers Swaddlers Diapers include:

?       Wetness indicator (sizes newborn, 1, and 2)
?       Overlapping fasteners (sizes newborn, 1, and 2)
?       Umbilical cord notch (sizes preemie and newborn)
?       Soft stretchy sides

They suck!  Has anyone else had this problem?  We have only used pampers sensitive and I am so bummed it looks like we're going to have to switch!  What do you use for sensitive bottoms instead?

I don't use Pampers much because DD has leaked out of them a lot. If you never had problems with them now but you are now I would write them on the Connect with Pampers board. Maybe you can get some answers over there.

Oh no! Swaddlers Sensitive are our favorite! The only other brand I've liked are 7th Generation, which we tried on a whim when they were on sale at Babies R Us. 7th Gen seemed to be as absorbent and contained his runny messes as well as Swaddlers. I think I have an emotional attachment to the Swaddlers though--they started us on them at the hospital, and I have consistently bought them for the last 6 months with few deviations.

I had that same email from Amazon last week and contacted Pampers.  They said the diapers were the exact same, they just "updated" the outside of the box.  When I received the box, I noticed they took off all dry max indications, even though dry max is still in the diapers, they are trying to hide it?

Haha, thanks!  I love looking at your son's pictures, too!  His eyes are amazing!

Yikes, I dunno, but I just opened a box of the new Cruisers and hope they don't give me problems since the old ones worked well.

We use pampers cruisers and havn't had any problems. Perhaps you could try them instead. But if I had that problem I would just switch brands. It really sucks when they have to change something that was working just fine the way it was.

Ooh, really? I quit using Pampers awhile ago. They leaked like crazy. I love Huggies Pure and Natural.

I don't know about the swaddlers, but we were using cruisers and they worked just fine. We switched to Luvs because of the price and they work just as well as the cruisers did, so maybe give those a shot? Couldn't hurt, I have a heavy wetter with a tendency to have really messy poops and they contain everything just fine.

My 19 pound son needs a size 5 because he leaks out of all of them. He really should be in a size 3 because they fit him the best, but they hold about a teaspoon of pee so...

This! I actually just showed your sig pic to my husband. We do a picture every monday for his week birthday (seemed like a good idea when he was a newborn but now... ugh lol) and I so wish I'd done this instead

 Re: the Pampers, my girlfriend was just complaining about the exact same thing this morning. So I don't think it's just you!
