LOL, Well I am just making the tortillas, not the chips, but the chips are pretty easy too.
Homemade flour tortillas:
2cups flour tortillas mix (sold in the ethnic aisle of the grocery store)
1/2 c hot water.
Mix together until a soft dough forms. Knead dough for about 5 minutes. Cover with damp towel and let rise for 15 minutes.
After dough has risen, make into little balls (a little smaller than golf ball size). Roll out into circles (similar to making pie crust), while sprinkling flour to keep tortillas from sticking to rolling pin...does that make sense?
Heat on griddle.
For salsa I keep it simple.
Roasted tomatoes
roasted jalapenos
onions
garlic powder
salt and pepper
Put in blender/food processor. blend to desired consistency.
Beautiful pictures taken by the very talented Kaper
It's that easy to make tortillas? If I'd known that, I would have been making them forever. Do you buy the tomatoes and jalepenos roasted or do you roast them yourself? Canned tomatoes will work right? I've made my own before but I think the simpler sounds much better.

I get fresh tomatos and jalapenos and roast them myself. They taste more "authentic" that way. Canned will work too.
Btw: tortilla chips: get corn tortillas, cut up into chip size, put in hot skillet with a tad bit of oil, and cook till crisp/golden brown.
