Random question----the other day someone told me I can not use clorox wipes to clean down my counters in my house. I asked why and they couldnt give me a real answer-----I always wash my hands afterwards---so my question to all of you is-----
Do you use Clorox wipes???
Re: Clorox wipes....
Expecting a bootiful baby Girl this Halloween
depending on who you ask...
bleach is not safe for you or the environment. There are better ways to disinfect without using bleach
I wouldnt use them to say do dishes...or to wipe up something you sprayed with another cleaner (you should never mix chemicals) but a clorox wipe I was told was one of the safest things to clean with when pregnant (other than natural cleaners obviously) because since it doesnt spray--like bottles or aerosals you aren't going to inhale the chemicals as easily.
I read that it's not safe, so I use Mrs Meyers general cleaner and paper towels.
But, with the baby coming, I've been switching all our cleaners and detergents to less toxic ones...
Really? Why is this? I've got granite countertops and was not aware that they weren't ok. Crap!
Exactly. I'd never use harsh chemicals on eating surfaces. You wouldn't spray your dishes with bleach, why clean with it? There are great, natural ways to disinfect and clean your countertops. Bleach is not one of them!
I wouldn't call my countertops an eating surface. I mean, the bottom of our plates and pans touches them, but the actual food doesn't.
I keep Clorox wipes in the bathroom. I can get a lot of quick cleaning done by using them to a quick wipe while sitting there!
